    We focus on what people can afford, putting our members in control of their finances.

    We encourage savings that benefit our communities and help our members to access money responsibly.

     

    Since 1964, UK British Credit Unions have been making decisions for the best interests of their members, not external shareholders.

    Credit Unions act in the interest of their local communities. We provide localised financial returns through providing affordable and appropriate financial services to over 1 million members in Great Britain.

    Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)

    Credit Unions are authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority. Savings from individuals and small organisations (such as businesses and charities) are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme up to £85,000.
